The stylish New Balance Vazee Pace v2 tries to recover soul from old good 890 saga from the american brand using experience from first edition. A running shoe needs more than a good blend of lightweight cushioning and responsiveness (just 6 mm drop) to become a better choice than successful Boston 6 or Sayonara 4. Anyway, a good option for uptempo runs and distances up to marathon.
Upper in Vazee Pace v2 gets rid of "deconstructed" heel counter used in predecessor Vazee Pace and moves to a more traditional one for more stability from the rearfoot. It is made of two stitched pieces based on bootie construction with fused overlays (Fantom Fit) over breathable mesh in the forefoot for secure fit. Please notice the extra reflective piece in the heel besides well known New Balance's logo on both sides increasing visibility under poor light conditions.
Midsole is completely made of REVlite® foam like in racing flat 1400 v4 featuring great blend of cushioning and response. Outsole pattern changes a bit for faster toe-off and more blown rubber has been added for longer durability.
