The Asics Gel Fuji Trabuco 6 continues the popular trail running shoes saga from the japanese brand where comfort is above everything else. It consolidates the 8 mm drop and the choice to remove double density in midsole from the fifth edition while redesigning the upper to tweak some fit settings after several complains from loyal users. As usual, there is available a Gore Tex® (GTX) edition to face more challenging climate conditions.
Seamless, modern upper and improved fit are major changes compared to its predecessor Gel Fuji Trabuco 5. Also heel counter has been reengineered to simple but effective design lowerering collar height like disruptive MetaRun, something already implemented in other Asics models like popular Gel Cumulus 19. Well padded tongue includes useful lace pocket to prevent snagging.
No changes in midsole with full-length Solyte® unit for reliable cushioning featuring not visible embedded GEL® in both rearfoot and forefoot for improved shock absorption and handy rock plate to protect against sharp elements and rocks. Outsole does not change either because of great perfomance reported on any terrain (so very versatile without standing out) with more solid AHAR+ rubber in exposed areas for great durability.
